Structural Readiness Education System Review towards Self-Governance
We have had a 3-year relationship with the Ahkwesãhsne Mohawk Board of Education (AMBE) on multiple initiatives related to Structural Readiness (Indigenous Services Canada funded). During this time we worked with a community Steering Committee to assess the current state of AMBE services—resulting in a Current State Report Part 1.
From here we produced a Future State report identifying the journey required, and key elements, to reach an optimal functioning capacity as a school district, aligned with ISC stringent requirements.
This resulted in a yearlong strategic visioning process and a final strategic plan that identified 4 priority areas, referred to as Paddles, for the culturally appropriate metaphor of the canoe in this Mohawk community.
Currently, we are working on 8 additional initiatives towards structural readiness in the areas of:
Human Resource Planning
Strategic Partnership Development
